Elisa's Beauty Walk- January 29, 2011

A tradition in the South are the yearly Beauty Walks in the middle/high schools. Elisa LOVES participating in them. It is an event where she can dress up, wear make-up, and be a princess for a day. This was her second year participating and she did wonderful. Elisa recruited Priscilla and her friend Megan to help her with her hair and make-up. (this mom has no skills with hair and make-up- I prefer the "hippie" natural look)

By the end of nearly three hours of having her hair and make-up completely, she looked like a completely different person. She wasn't my little girl anymore. She was a young woman. Thankfully, we had her nails and pedicure done a few days before to make the day run a little smoother.

The Beauty Walk started promptly at 3 pm. The first group of girls were the sixth graders, then seventh, and finally the eighth graders. Elisa was number 23 in the seventh grade. She was beautiful. She walked with confidence, grace, and poise.

Sound Guy, I know exactly how you feel. I was sitting for nearly three hours myself.
Elisa and her best friend Hannah.

To celebrate Elisa, Hannah, Harrison, Cole, Jacob, and John went to dinner to Los Tarascos (with parents).
