The Sound of Music

I rented the Sound of Music from Netflix last week. I decided the kids needed to watch a classic movie. Both kids grumbled and wished they had other things to do. Jay made a good effort to watch the movie. When several of the songs were sung, his face lit and up and he said, "I know this song! How cool." In fact, he recognized one song (I am sixteen, going on seventeen) from a movie Vin Diesel was in. Elisa called her friend from across the street to save her from the movie. Didn't work the neighbor girl loves the movie. So Elisa grumbled some more. We only made it to the intermission. Jay decided he had enough singing, even though he enjoyed the music and it was time to watch The Princess Bride for the 100th time.
