Elisa has been dating a young man named CJ for the past several months. She has been planning to go to prom for years. Back in January, Elisa and I went to look at a few dresses at a boutique in Hoover. After trying on a few dresses Elisa tried this dress on and it was gorgeous. Here's a picture...
I would have love to purchase it, but the purchase price of $700 was a little too much for our budget. Elisa really wanted a dress that no other girl would have and in her budget. She went to the internet. She searched and searched until she found a dress in her budget. At this time CJ hadn't officially asked Elisa to the prom. The dress arrived the end of March, which gave us plenty of time to get it altered. Finally on April 17, CJ went to Elisa's soccer game and asked her to the prom. He wrote, "Elisa, Wanna kick it with me at prom?"
Last Saturday April 25 was prom night! We were planning on going to Railroad Park to take photos, but we were forecast to have rain. It was decided to take prom photos at Samford University. On the way to Samford, we had a torrential downpour. Thankfully, I always keep an umbrella in my trunk. We found a building with a great cover porch. By time all of the kids go on the porch, the rain had stopped. Here are a few of the photos at Samford...
After photos, the kids left to go to dinner at Giuseppe's Cafe in Birmingham. They decided the cafe looks sketchy, so they went to Olive Garden. According to Elisa, prom was fun. Afterwards, the kids went bowling and ended the night with a trip to McDonald's.
