family fun in february

The spring soccer season has begun. Both Jay and Elisa are playing on the Chelsea High School soccer teams. Elisa is on the Junior Varsity team and Jay plays on both the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams. Needless to say, we have lots of games to attend this spring.

This past week the weather has caused issues with the games. Last Monday and Tuesday, both kids had games that were canceled from all of the rain. Since February 1, we have had 4.35 inches of rain. We still have 11 days of the month to go with more rain in the forecast. 

Elisa scored her first goal in a soccer game! Her JV team won their game 6 to 0. Elisa's goal was in the final minute of the game. Unfortunately, it was an away game, so Jon and I missed the goal. :(

Jay's games on Wednesday was cold and the field was still wet from the rain. The boys were sliding all over the field and covered in mud by the end of the game.
