Our Next Move...

Yes, we are moving again. In case you lost count, yes this will be move #14 within 15 years of marriage. We will be in Tuscaloosa at least another year, while Jon works on earning a Master’s Degree in Tax Law. Oh what fun for him!

#1- April 1996: Orangeburg Ave, Modesto, CA to Golf Road, Waukegan, IL (driving with a 6 week old son is not fun- ask me the story about the torture Jon subjected me to by not stopping when I said Jay wanted to breastfeed)

#2- November 1996: Golf Road, Waukegan, IL to Orangeburg Ave, Modesto, CA (got out of Illinois before the cold winter, Jon got to see Graceland, and Jay displayed his flexibility to stick his toe in his nose)

#3- March 1997: Orangeburg Ave, Modesto, CA to 12th Street, Ramona, CA (finally moved into military housing)

#4- December 1997: 12th Street, Ramona, CA (2 bedroom) to 12th Street, Ramona, CA (3 bedrooms) (this was probably a stupid move; in retrospect we should have been put on a list for a 3 bedroom elsewhere)

#5- June 1999: 12th Street, Ramona, CA to Peach Ave, El Cajon, CA (moved out of military housing into civilian housing to be put on a list for another military housing complex)

#6- February 2000: Peach Ave, El Cajon, CA to Home Ave, San Diego, CA (this was a nice military housing- big! and we had awesome neighbors- the Wilson's (who now live in Pensacola, FL)

#7- April 2001: Home Ave, San Diego, CA to Orangeburg Ave, Modesto, CA (well, Jon was deploying again, I injured my shoulder, and the school Jay would have attended for kindergarten wasn’t the best: so back to Modesto to live with Mom again)

#8- June 2002: Orangeburg Ave, Modesto, CA to Santa Ynez, Chula Vista, CA (one of our favorite moves)

#9- June 2003: Santa Ynez, Chula Vista, CA to Santa Alicia Ave, Chula, CA (was not going to pay over $2,000 a month in rent)

#10- December 2004: Santa Alicia Ave, Chula Vista, CA to Burgundy Drive, Chula Vista, CA (purchased an overpriced town house)

#11- August 2006: Burgundy Drive, Chula Vista, CA to Orangeburg Ave, Modesto, CA (moved back with mom after we sold the house, so Jon can go to law school)

#12- December 2007: Orangeburg Ave, Modesto, CA to 16th Street, Tuscaloosa, AL (moved to live with Jon, while he attended his dream school)

#13- June 2008: 16th Street, Tuscaloosa, AL to Moonlight Drive, Tuscaloosa, AL (moved to get away from the flying cockroaches and better school district)

#14- July 2010: moving across the street (cheaper rent)
